To assign a custom domain to your app has two steps:

1. Edit the domain A Record for their URL  T

You will need to login to the DNS (domain name server) This is the service where you or your client has purchased the domain name.  

You can have two types of records.  

main url (ie mywebsite.com) This is the most common type of name change for a StickyApps client.

sub-domain (ie apps.mywebsite.com) typically used if they don't want to completely lose their curreent site.

2. Update the Custom Domain Field in the Builder

In the App details section click on the blue box titled custom domain.  Enter the url exactly. Do not add www. 

Click on the blue box titled Custom Domain

 

Then input the url you set up to point to our domain. (ie yoursite.com)

 

Republish app when changes are completed. 

Do not click the blue box a second time - it will revert back to using our domain again if you do.

Note - once you update your Domain Name Server's A Record it can take up to 72 hours to have the url update and work.
