Creating a Custom Domain is a two-part process. Note that changing to a Custom Domain within a Brand will impact all albums using that Brand.
To create a Custom Domain, you should first create a subdomain with your DNS (domain name system) provider or your web host. Example subdomains include apps.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com.
Next, you will point this subdomain to our servers using a CNAME for the record type.
This is a two-step process.
STEP 1 - CREATE A CNAME RECORD
You will be creating a new subdomain to use with your StickyAlbums like apps.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com
Log in to your domain provider:
This is the company from whom you purchased your domain name. Go to the control panel for your DNS (domain name server). Typically, this is called DNS Manager or Zone File Settings or some variation of those words.
Select Create CNAME:
1. Enter your subdomain into the first box - typically called alias. Subdomain suggestions include: apps or albums.
2. Type - CNAME
3. Points to: moblalbum.com
DO NOT ADD WWW or HTTP to these records.
Please note, DNS changes usually take effect within a few minutes, but can take up to 24 hours, depending on your registrar.
If you would like additional information or links to instructions on how to change the CName for various web hosts, please see information at the end of this article.
STEP 2 - ADD YOUR URL TO YOUR STICKYALBUMS BRAND
After updating the information with your DNS, enter the url for your subdomain (i.e. apps.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com) in the Brand in which you are creating the Custom Domain.
To add the url:
Login to the builder
Click on Brands
Select Edit next to the Brand you wish to use the Custom Domain with.
Once in your Brand, scroll down to the bottom of the Contact section of your brand.
Click Add Custom Domain.
Add your URL to the box that opens for the Custom Domain - check that you add the URL exactly as you created it with your DNS provider.
example: app.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com (substitute your url for yoursite.com)
Specific Providers:
To create a CName Record, you will want to go to your DNS control panel and click add CName.
Each provider is different, but here are the basic directions for updating a CName record:
1. Add your subdomain - usually to a box called hosting or name. We recommend either apps.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com. Note - some providers just want you to put the prefix (apps or albums). Please read their directions.
2. If your provider asks for the TTL use their default option.
3. Under Alias/Host/CName/Value put moblalbum.com
DO NOT ADD WWW or HTTP to these records.
If you can not find your provider on our list, please contact support@stickyalbums.com and let us know your host and our team will assist in helping you set up your CName record.

GoDaddy Instructions:

PhotoBiz Websites:
If you host your DNS with them, just give them a call or send in a ticket and let their Support Team know what you want to use for your site (i.e. apps.yoursite.com or albums.yoursite.com) and tell them to point the CName to moblalbum.com
Square Space:
Unilke other hosts they may or may not be in charge of your domain settings. If you purchased your domain name through SquareSpace you can use the directions below to create a sub-domain and create a CName redirect.
Here is how to create a subdomain if SquareSpace hosts your domain:
If your domain name was purchased using another provider, i.e. GoDaddy, you will need to log in to the account with the DNS host and follow the directions for creating a CName subdomain record for that provider.
Example: You purchase your domain name through GoDaddy, but have a Square Space website. You would go to GoDaddy and create a subdomain there, following the directions above for GoDaddy.
If you have other specific questions and are using Squarespace, you will need to connect with Squarespace via email or chat for assistance.
